WHĀNAU SURVEY FEEDBACK
Whānau feedback is very important to us. At each Te Hui Ako, we ask for your thoughts on aspects of Randwick Park School. Your feedback helps us reflect on our processes and improve the way we do things as a school. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. Below is a snapshot of some of your feedback.

JAMMIES FOR JUNE
Last Friday, we began distributing the pyjamas generously donated by the Middlemore Foundation as part of the Jammies for June programme. Most tamariki received their pyjamas, however, we ran out of a number of sizes so some classes missed out. We have requested more and are hopeful they will arrive before the end of the term, fingers crossed.

RTC – Our Responsible Thinking Classroom
RTC is our Responsible Thinking Classroom – a calm, reflective space where tamariki can think about their choices or have some quiet time when needed. When a child goes to RTC, a teacher is available to talk with them about what happened and, if needed, help them write a plan about what they could do differently next time.
There are four different levels of plans, tailored to suit different ages and abilities. These range from drawing a picture to answering a series of increasingly complex questions. Each plan focuses on what the child can control, rather than on others. Whānau are only contacted if a student repeatedly visits RTC and the plans are not effective.
For younger students, the questions might include:
- What did I do?
- Which rule did I break?
- What was I trying to do?
- What am I going to do next time?
For senior students, the plans involve deeper reflection, with questions such as:
- What did I do?
- Which rule did I break?
- Have I hurt anyone? What could I do now?
- What did I want to happen?
- What is my plan to get what I want without breaking the rules?
- What could help me with my plan?
- What would make my plan hard to follow?
- What will happen if I don’t follow my plan?

ROOM 11 CELEBRATES MATARIKI THE ENVIRO WAY
Room 11 embraces the ethos of “waste not, want not.” After harvesting some pumpkins from our garden, we put them to good use by making pumpkin soup, churning our butter, and baking fresh bread. It was a delicious and meaningful meal, prepared in celebration of Matariki.

AIMS GAMES PIES FUNDRAISER
Help Get Our Teams to the AIMS Games! Randwick Park School is selling tasty pies and savouries from Luv a Pie to raise money for our trip to the 2025 AIMS Games in Tauranga.
The AIMS Games is an awesome nationwide sports event where Year 7 and 8 students get to compete in 27 different sports at a high level. It’s a huge opportunity for our three teams, but getting there isn’t cheap.
Every pie you buy helps us get one step closer. Thanks for your support!
