Announcement :

We have completed our lockdown exercise and all students, staff, and persons on-site are safely accounted for.  Everyone did extremely well and responded to instructions.  A notice will be going out to parents/caregivers tonight to provide some more information about our emergency lockdown procedures. I would like to personally thank you for your support while we conduct these practices.  Kind regards – Karen McMurray, Principal

Assemblies

Whole school assemblies are spread across the year, with the dates published in our school newsletter and in fliers. Mostly they take place on a Friday at 2pm, but may be moved to a Tuesday if we are celebrating a cultural week. Each room within the school has a ‘buddy class’, generally we match younger students with older ones to build tuakana teina. Buddy clases are responsible for organising and running a whole school assembly once a year. This is an opportunity for them to share an item show casing their learning, school values or a current event.
During the assembly certificates are also presented and notices shared. The community and whānau are welcome to attend.

Camps

Te Hui Ako

Te Hui Ako is the RPS name for student, parent-teacher conferences. We value this time together. In Term 1 these take place on the first day of school and are an opportunity for students and whānau to meet their teacher for the year. They also happen in Terms 2 and 3, where there is the opportunity for learning to be shared, progress discussed, and goals set. Our expectation is that all whānau attend, as home/school partnerships are an important part of Randwick Park School and your child’s learning journey.
