PRINCIPALS MESSAGE – HE PANUI I O TĀTOU TUMUAKI
WELCOME TO TERM 4!

Welcome to Term 4. The year is flying by, we only have 11 weeks left in 2025.  It will be another busy term with lots of new learning, trips, sports and events.

One of our big focuses again this term is attendance. We need all tamariki attending school regularly (90% or more). To achieve this, they should be away for no more than five days over the term. Regular attendance is essential for children’s learning and helps them build and maintain friendships with others.

To put it into perspective, if a child misses 10 days of school per term, by the time they leave at the end of Year 8, this adds up to 64 weeks — that’s a year and a half of lost learning.

Please note that school will be closed on 21 November for our second Ministry of Education curriculum teacher-only day.

A reminder, if you have any concerns about your child, please don’t hesitate to come in and see us. We want every child to be happy and successful at school, and the whānau-school partnership is essential to making that happen. You can make an appointment through the school office.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Nga mihi

Andrea Bleakley (Acting Principal)

KIA ORA AND WELCOME TO RANDWICK PARK SCHOOL

Kia ora,
My name is Siddiqua Aliya, and I am delighted to join Randwick Park School as a Teacher for the New Entrant classroom. I am originally from Hyderabad, India, and have over eight years of experience teaching in primary education.

Teaching young learners has always been my passion. I enjoy creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. I believe in building strong relationships with students and whānau, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.

Outside the classroom, I am married and a proud mother of a son. I look forward to contributing positively to the Randwick Park School community and continuing to grow as an educator alongside my colleagues and learners.

Ngā mihi nui,
Siddiqua Aliya

END OF TERM ASSEMBLY PERFORMANCES

During our final Term 3 assembly, our Kapa Haka group, Te Kura Kotahi o Rāwhiti, performed. They were fantastic, their set was polished and featured beautiful singing. A big thank you to Whaea Maureen and her mokopuna for the time and energy they have put into working with our tamariki.

Our Junior Tongan group also performed a beautiful item. Thank you to Miss Tokolahi for giving her time to run practices.
