Get Ready to ShakeOut! – Thursday, 16th October

This Thursday, 16th October, RPS school will be taking part in National ShakeOut Day, a nationwide earthquake drill designed to help students and staff practice how to stay safe during an earthquake. At 9.30 a.m., we will join people across the country in the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” drill.

ShakeOut is an important opportunity to prepare for emergencies, review safety procedures, and build confidence in how to respond during an earthquake. We encourage families to talk about their own emergency plans at home as well!

Let’s stay safe and be prepared, when it comes to earthquakes, practice makes perfect!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW SCHOOL BOARD

We would like to introduce the members of our newly appointed Randwick Park School Board. Each member brings valuable experience and perspective to help guide our school through the year/s ahead.  The board works in partnership with school leadership, staff, and families to support the school’s goals and strategic direction.

In addition to the Principal and our staff, the Board comprises three returning representative members who were re-elected.

LUV A PIE FUNDRAISER
 2026 YEAR 5/6 CAMP

As you may be aware, our Year 4 and 5 tamariki are selling pies to raise money for their 2026 camp. We have made an office page so that our community can purchase pies.

Below is a link to our page. The last day to order is SUNDAY 19 OCTOBER.
If you have any questions, please contact our office.

LET THE HOUSE CHALLENGE BEGIN!

This term, we’re thrilled to launch our very first whole-school Inter-House Competition! Every student has been put in a house and will have the chance to earn house points by showing our school values in class and around the school.

Each Friday, we’ll tally up the totals to see which house comes out on top for the week and soon, the winning house’s flag will be proudly raised on our flag pole for everyone to see!

(And don’t worry — siblings will be in the same house so families can cheer together!)

Our four houses represent the values that make our school special:

Get ready to support your children’s house colours and celebrate their achievements!
