HOUSE CHALLENGE – WEEK 7’S WINNER

Our winning house last week with the most points collected was Mana!

ATTENDANCE – EVERYDAY MATTERS

Last week, Randwick Park School’s regular attendance climbed again, reaching 67% – a fantastic 2% increase. Ka pai, everyone! Let’s keep this positive momentum going.

After holding the top attendance spot for two weeks, Ururoa House was knock off by Mana, who achieved an impressive 72% regular attendance. The house competition is definitely heating up!

Well done to our Mana LEGO winners – Tafito (Room 19) and Dea (Room 24). We hope you have fun with your prizes! Another LEGO draw will take place next week for the house with the best attendance, so keep encouraging your tamariki to come to school each day for their chance to be in the draw. Which house will come out on top next week? We can’t wait to see!

OUR FUNDRAISERS

We have had a few fundraisers this term. Our Disco had raised $3697.12 for teams who entered the CM Games. The Pohutukawa Bake Sale raised $1724.10 for their 2026 year 5/6 Camp.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraisers this year.

KIA ORA & WELCOME TO RPS

Tēnā koutou te whānau ō RPS. Ko Maraea McCall ahau. I am so pleased to be here supporting children with additional needs and getting to know all the beautiful tamariki here at school.

FAREWELL MRS DOT

After 22 years of hard work and dedication to our school, Dot has made the big decision to retire at the end of this year. She will be greatly missed by our staff, community, and students, but she is ready for the next exciting phase of her life.

COUNTIES ZONE FINAL ATHLETICS

Last Tuesday a team of 11 Year 7/8 athletes competed at the Counties Zone Finals Athletics. All the students gave it their all! A special shout out to the following athletes who placed in their events and will move on to the Auckland Championships next Thursday.

Aukitino – 1st Yr 7 High Jump, 2nd Yr 7 400m, 2nd Yr 7 200m, 3rd Y7 100m
Alhayzen – 2nd Yr 7 Discus
Isaiah – 3rd Yr 8 400m, 3rd Yr 8 800m
Yr 7 Boys’ Relay – 2nd (Aukitino, Peni, Kobe, Adam)

SCHOOL HATS

As the weather is getting warmer and the sun is getting hot, please ensure your son/daughter start coming to school in our full school summer uniform. It is great to see a number of our tamaiti already wearing our school sunhat.

USING OUR PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS

Please ensure you and your child/ren are using the pedestrian crossings before and after school.  Some adults have been crossing Riverton Drive by the school gates with students, this is dangerous role modeling.  After school traffic is very busy and we do not want any students copying adults and getting hurt.  Thank you for your support with this and making sure everyone gets home safe.

A CLEVER COMIC

-By Ames Rhodes, Rm 22

BRING A BIKE & SCOOTER  LOCK TO SCHOOL

If tamariki ride scooters or bikes to school, please make sure they bring a lock to keep it safe during the day. Locking rides helps prevent them from being taken. Thanks for helping us keep our school community safe and responsible!
