Welcome to Randwick Park School, a vibrant and culturally diverse learning community where every tamaiti is valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Following 30 years of dedicated service to Randwick Park School as our foundation principal, Ms Karen McMurray has officially retired. I am honoured to be acting as Principal while the process of appointing a permanent Principal takes place.

Randwick Park School caters for tamariki in Years 1–8 and has a roll of more than 700 students. Our kura reflects the rich cultural diversity of our community, with approximately 31% of our tamariki identifying as Māori and 51% having Pacific heritage. More than 35% of our students speak languages other than English, making our school a truly multilingual and multicultural learning environment.

Our vision is for learners to succeed in an evolving world. At the heart of this vision are our learner dispositions: Responsible and Resilient, Positive and Kind, and Collaborative, Curious and Creative Thinkers. These are underpinned by our values of Respect for Learning, Respect for Ourselves, Respect for Others, and Respect for the Environment.

We are committed to providing rich learning experiences and opportunities that enable every tamaiti to experience success. From our ESOL programme, Sports Academy and specialist Technology programme, to camps, sporting competitions, cultural groups, performing arts and Education Outside the Classroom experiences, we encourage our tamariki to discover their strengths, develop their confidence and try new things.

Celebrating and embracing the cultural diversity of our community is an important part of life at our kura. We are proud of the strong relationships we have with our whānau and wider community, and we value the contribution they make to the success of our tamariki. Together, we create a learning environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and are encouraged to be proud of who they are.

Most importantly, Randwick Park School is a place where people matter. We are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated and committed staff who work collaboratively to provide the very best learning experiences for our students. At the centre of everything we do, and the reason we do it, are our beautiful tamariki.
