At Randwick Park School, our vision is for all learners to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
Our motto, Growing and Learning Together to Be the Best We Can Be, reflects our belief that learning is a shared journey between students, staff, and whānau.
Our vision is brought to life through our core value of RESPECT:
- Respect for learning
- Respect for ourselves
- Respect for others
- Respect for the environment
We nurture active learners who demonstrate our key learner dispositions. Our students are encouraged to be:
- Responsible and resilient
- Positive and kind
- Collaborative, curious, and creative thinkers
Together, these values and dispositions guide everything we do and support our tamariki to grow into confident, capable learners.

ROAD PATROL TRAINING
On Thursday last week, our Road Patrol team had road safety training with Police Officers from Manurewa Police Station. We learned about the importance of watching traffic, looking for dangers and how to cross the road safely. This training will help us to keep our school and community safe.
A special thank you to the officers for taking the time to teach and train us.

KIA ORA AND WELCOME TO RANDWICK PARK SCHOOL
We have two new teachers to welcome into our school.
Hi, I’m Miss Carroll and I am teaching Room 24 this year. I am very excited as this is my first class. In my spare time I like to watch movies, go for walks, read and spend time with my one eyed cat called Sunday. I am looking forward to 2026 at RPS.

Kia Ora I am Whaea Moana. I am Māori from Ngati Kauhungunu and Tuhoe. I first started relieving here in October 2017 and this year I am part of the Kahikatea team in Room 11.

RANDWICK PARK SCHOOL ATTENDANCE PLAN
From this term, all schools in New Zealand are required to have and implement an Attendance Management Plan. These plans aim to improve student attendance by providing clear processes to identify and respond to absences early. The plan includes a Stepped Attendance Response (STAR), based on the Government framework. It outlines what the school will do, the role of our Board and whānau in supporting regular attendance. The goal is to have clear and transparent pathways to identify concerns early and work together to address attendance in a supportive and proactive way.
Below you will find the Randwick Park School Attendance Plan. This is a working document that will be regularly reviewed and updated. A copy will also be available on our school website.

YAPPIE – keeping safe online
Navigating the digital world is a bit like exploring a giant, never-ending playground. It’s exciting, but you definitely want to keep your “secret identity” safe. Our tamariki are learning to be digital superheroes by mastering one simple, catchy word: YAPPIE. By following the YAPPIE checklist, tamariki learn that being smart online means keeping their most important personal details private.
