Homework

At Randwick Park School, homework supports and extends classroom learning. Teachers provide home learning that is appropriate to each year level and communicate expectations to students. We also follow up with parents and caregivers as needed to support learning at home.

Homework Guidelines by Year Level

Year Level	Time per Night	Content
Years 0–2	10–20 minutes	A reader, Reading Eggs, and basic mathematics activities
Years 3–4	15–25 minutes	A reader, Reading Eggs, spelling words (from the school programme), mathematics (Mangahigh or basic facts practice)
Years 5–6	20–30 minutes	Reading, spelling words (from the school programme), mathematics (Mangahigh or basic facts practice)
Years 7–8	25–35 minutes	Reading, spelling words (from the school programme), mathematics (Mangahigh or basic facts practice), topic/news/media studies

Equity of Access – Students who do not have access to a device or the internet at home will be allowed to complete homework tasks in class between 8:30 – 8:45 am, where possible.
