WHAT’S HAPPENING IN CLASS ?
Room 18 has been learning about healthy foods that help us grow. Students had the opportunity to create a Still Life of a bowl of their favourite fruits. A Still Life is a work of art that shows an arrangement of commonplace objects. Objects can come from nature or be man-made.

ARRIVING TO SCHOOL ON TIME
A reminder that even on these cold wet mornings students are expected to be at school and in class before the 8:40 am bell, please. INTERESTING FACT: When a student is late by just 5 minutes, over the year this equates to 68 hours of learning. Thank you to our whānau/aiga who ensure their tamaiti are here ready for their learning to get underway at 8:40 am.

          YEAR 5/6 NETBALL TOURNAMENT

Two weeks ago our Year 5 & 6 Boys’ and Girls’ Netball teams competed in the interschool netball tournament. Our Girls placed 3rd overall and Boys 4th in their pool. The Boys also won the sportsmanship award. Congratulations Randwick Park!

WOMENS FIFA TRIP
On Tuesday 1st August the Aims Girls Futsal Team went to Eden Park to watch the Fifa Women’s World Cup. The game featured the Portugal and USA football teams. We bonded with our team-mates and coaches and had an amazing time. We were so grateful that we were given the opportunity to experience it with our fellow friends and team-mates.
Thank you to our anonymous donor for sponsoring the tickets for our team!!

CENTRAL COUNTIES LEAGUE
It was awesome to see our Boys’ and Girls’ League teams participate in the Central Counties tournament last Tuesday. Both teams played some great league and learned a lot throughout the day.

🥈Girls’ team placed 2nd
🥉 Boys’ team placed 3rd
Thanks to all the whānau who came and supported us! 👍
