YEAR 7/8 GIRLS’ SOFTBALL
Well done to our amazing Year 7/8 Girls’ Softball team who took out the Counties Zone finals! Despite the rain, they won all five games they played to take out the tournament. Thanks to Marilyn for all her coaching and support

Cultural Performance at Manu Tukutuku

Last Saturday, 9th March, Manurewa Community held a cultural event at Manu Tukutuku Park and Randwick Park School was invited to bring a performance group. There were a variety of people who attended to perform and support. Our school proudly took part. Our students only had a week to learn the dance, yet they still performed beautifully. Our first item was a Tongan dance. Felila, our guest, her song filled our ears with joy. The next dance was a graceful Samoan siva followed with another Tongan dance. It was a great community experience for our students to be part of and for the teachers and tamariki who came along to support.

Thank you to Miss Tokolahi and Miss Tangaroa for the practices and the opportunity given to showcase our cultures and talent in this event. Thanks to Mrs. Thakur and all parents/aiga and other RPS community members, who attended on the day to show their support.

YEAR 7/8 CRICKET

The Year 7/8 Boys and Girls Cricket Teams competed in the Central Counties Cricket Tournament. Both teams played hard, worked together, and showed great sportsmanship. The boys team finished 3rd and the girl’s team finished 4th. Ka pai to all!

YEAR 7/8 TAG TOURNAMENT

Our Boys’ and Girls’ Tag teams had an awesome day at the Central Counties Tag tournament today. Both teams were unbeaten throughout the day, winning their respective finals against Wiri Central (Boys; final score 5-3) and Finlayson Park (Girls; final score 4-2). The teams will now play at the Counties Zone finals next Wednesday.
Thank you to Mrs Savali and Whaea T for helping out today, and also to all the whānau who came to support us!

USING OUR PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

Thank you to all our whānau who model appropriate road safety protocols to our young RPS tamariki by using our crossings on Magic Way and Riverton Drive. When dropping off or collecting your child/ren please use the drop-off zones or off-street parking. Parking on the yellow lines, in front of our school gates, or double parking creates a serious safety issue. Please support us in ensuring our students get to and from school safely.
